I've been waiting for the finale to post anything since I wasn't quite sure where I was with the season.
The stuff that troubled me: (heh... clever, right?)
- I became bored with Audrey - I never expected that to happen. Bored might be the wrong word, but for lack of another, there you go
- The vaulting over some rather pivotal stuff - Wade stabbing the guy and.... huh
- Felt like this season - which started strong - spun it's wheels there toward the end
- Answer at least some of bajillion questions tossed out this season!
- Killing off characters that could've really gone somewhere. Like Jordan. As much as I got tired of her singular focus on Nathan, she certainly would've been interesting to keep. Especially her relationship with Dwight. Would've loved to have seen where that could've gone. It's that kind of potential lost that bugged
- Wish they could've been a little sneakier with Dave being the 4th person needed in the circle
- Can't believe I'm saying this since flashbacks are not my normal go to, but William and Mara - instead of all the telling, it would've been rather cool to have seen the havoc these two caused instead
Things that pleased me all to pieces:
- Duke really grew in this season
- Duke and Nathan's relationship grew up and in a spectacular way and which I will watch again and again
- Jennifer and Duke - too adorable for words
- The Teagues - didn't they get more interesting!
- The 1st half of the season
- As meh as I am with Audrey, Mara could be interesting
- Nathan kneeing William - I'll take the little shots and the humor was needed
- Chief Dwight and holy moly - yes, let's make those shots count
- Jennifer - interesting addition and if you're going to have a love interest what a good way to go about it
- Audrey/Nathan together is sweet and everything, but I'd sure like to see where this go with Mara behind the wheel, you know? Heh, I'd get a kick out of Mara falling for Nathan - cos, it's Nathan and that would be a goofy twist
- A season 5 please
I think it's one of those seasons I need to watch again to gain an overall appreciation for. There's a lot I loved about it, but I also suspect that life here was throwing up some hard stuff and I see shows differently than I normally would. So a rewatch is in order.:)
