Haven 4.07

I'm kind of stuck on this one. I was stuck as soon as Duke was at the Grey Gull and not off looking for Wade. Calling. Yes. Still. And then Wade comes waltzing around the corner for cleaning products.

Nothing was done.

Stuck.

Nathan and Audrey (witnesses!) were not all over this. Can I believe it was their trust in Duke that he 'would handle it' - is it enough for me to let it slide? Toughie.

I get why Duke isn't running to admit he killed Wade to Nathan and Audrey. Making them complicit after the fact - eh. I get it. I can even appreciate it. They'll find out. There has to be a time when Duke should be all glowy-eyed and isn't - it'll clue a few folks in.

Jennifer is there to share Duke's secret. He needs someone. He killed his brother - who he didn't do anything about fast enough that the guy had a populated dumping ground. Oodles and oodles of bad stuff to work through there.

But. Nothing was done from the get go. I let it slide last week since I thought it would be addressed this week. Wade is a psychopath and smart and could've lost Duke, but he came back for cleaning products. And nothing was done. Duke offered his help in cleaning!

Mind boggles.

However, there is still much interesting stuff. Jennifer's story. One does wonder how much Vince and Dave suspected before they had Jennifer do a background check on herself.

Poor Dwight. He certainly had Wade pegged as the bad guy.

Nathan/Lexie/Audrey growing pains - I can appreciate this. Does Nathan accept Audrey is all of these women in some way? Otherwise, the 'I don't care who you are' sounds more like a writer thought this would be a super cool thing to say without really getting the implications of 'I don't care who you are' comes off as.

You all know I adore this show, but this episode was a struggle even if I was flabbergasted that we finally see where Nathan sleeps!

However, Nathan's dream and results - heh.

Absolute favorite thing about this ep? Duke arriving with coffee and saying to Nathan ' I made sure yours was lukewarm'.

Loved.

All in all? Still stuck.
