(no subject)
i had one of the best 4th of july's EVER. at the last minute i threw together a cookout since my parents were gone. it went over quite well. dawn & i started drinking at about 2, & by 4 everyone was over. i cooked hamburgers on the grill for the first time, and i added a special touch & everyone said they were great! i was kind of proud of myself. then emily & i went to the firework store, drunk [mind you] & ended up spending $50 bucks on fireworks. which we basically didn't get to light off because all the boys took them over. dawn burnt a huge hole in her new shirt. scott about blew his hand off a couple of times. i burnt my hand & trent called me an idiot 3459385 times. he's my dad.
emily & i went to dick benders today after i got off work. he bought us dinner & took us out on the boat. i caught a turtle. it was a baby snapping turtle. i almost died because it scratched me. then grandpa took us to purgatory & i took pictures because it burnt down & it's all weird looking now.
i think i'm going to ft. wayne tomorrow. we need to figure out this house thing, because i'm moving in less than a month. saturday is afi. trent's making me drive. i can't remember the last time i drove in chicago. it's been over a year. next weekend jason & kristen are having a party. so is erin. she's having a huge bonfire friday night. there's too much stuff going on. i love my new job. we got a jukebox & people keep playing taproot on it. ew.
my dad is taking broc & i to go see ryan adams august 3rd. i will literally cream my pants again. i haven't seen him since october of 2004. almost two years. i love him.
okay i have to go clean up all the firework residue!
