Day One of the 6 Day All Ireland Paddywagon Tour

Aug 10, 2009 23:11

I'm really tired. Like, seriously tired. I'm sitting here and mostly I'm thinking I'd like to sleep.

Actually, I've already tried using the keyboard as a pillow. I should probably sleep soonish.

Got up this morning, had a lousy breakfast (there was an Aussie girl in there and some European bloke ogling her and then pretending to not speak English when she asked him what he thought he was doing) and rushed over to Paddy's Palace. There were already a loads of people there.

Can I do this in a cut a long story short fashion? Wasn't able to get my £80 back as apparently the magazine advertising their tours is 6 months out of date. Website updates, everything else doesn't. It's still advertised at that price in displays and whatnot... *sighs* false advertising. Oh well. Guide/Driver's name is Connor or Conrad or Captain. Seems quite nice. And knows a fair bit of his stuff.

Ok. So we drove to ... there are an awful lot of Aussies on this tour. It's quite strange, really. I haven't been in the presence of so many Aussies in a long time.

Tired

saw a four hundred year old human head... of a saint
celtic crosses
ruined monastery

tickets to newcastle sorted
black cab tour
dinner
wander with three others (QLDers)
Will attempt to edit and unsummarise this later. No promises though.

Photo count of Ireland: 191.
