An hour ago, I knew what I was going to write here. I had it all mapped out in my head. And then...well, work caught up with me and I got detoured from my procrastination time. I really have a great job and a wonderful boss. I'm sick right now, have a cold/sinus infection, which is turning into an upper respitory infection, and if I don't do something about it will probably become bronchitis or eventually walking pneumonia. But with it being partially related to allergies and partially to the yo-yo-ness of the weather, I figure what the hell is the point of going to the doc to get meds when I am going to be like this for weeks anyway. But J* gave me his little bit of fatherly advise today and said go to the doc anyway even if it means staying on antibiotics on and off for the next month, that way I don't get to the point of having no energy and being completely worn down. I'm taking that as a silent command to high my arse off to the doc the first chance I get. Right now I'm dosing myself with whiskey laced coffee, cough drops, and vazotan suspension (antihystamin +cough suppressant), so far so good - if you don't count coughing till my head, chest, and ribs are absolutely throbbing in pain!
but anyhow, what else is going on, oh yes, I'm trying to finish my thesis SOON! I'd like to get out from under that and get it done before my profs think that I have completely blown it off and am not going to finish. I payed for the classes, I aced all but one of those class, and have put a ton of work into this thesis so far, I am damn sure going to finished the pesky thing. Once I get that done I may finally be able to focus on everything the muse is shooting my way. I am getting snippets of ideas on how to continue Worth Fighting For, as well as Dark Seduction. Rabastan is just beating his fists against the mental walls I've erected getting pissed that I'm not listening to his side of the story.
On the other end of that I have Gryph and Clare locked away waiting to play out their story. And where I originally thought that their story was going to be straight up paranormal romance I was given the "happy" news from them that it won't go that way like I wanted it to. The chronology may begin with them, but their story will not be wrapped up neatly in one book. Let's just say that at the end, the couple is anything but happy and have some hard choices to make that will follow them throughout the stories of the other characters. BTW - two new ones showed up that demand to become a part of the story. Not shifters like my other three male leads, but magick users...not quite sure about them yet or what they are up to. I do know that Nyx plays a role in this whole mess. She threatens the shifters with removing their ability to shift if they don't do what she wants them to do. I really want time to delve further into this string of stories. A giant THANK YOU to
lilmisblack and
margaritaabate for the links to info on Nyx, it has been most helpful. I just need to get RL situated and then I am going to make sure that I always have a notebook on hand to put the muse's gentle and not so gentle nudges down on paper. Currently, the notes are scattered in multiple places.
Alright, procrastination time is over and back to work for me. Need to try to get at least one other report fully completed and out within the next hour!
