Good Evening all!
With the Christmas season upon us, I know we are all sitting and thinking and trying to figure out what to get for those around us. I want to put an idea out there for everyone. My uncle is 61 years old (yes this is important to this) and he has Cerebarl Paulsy (cp) and since he has a lot of time on his hands and gets bored he took up flute making. he makes traditional native american flutes by hand. they are approximately two feet in length, this depends upon the type of wood he uses. Some are made of Cherry, poplar, pine, maple, and cedar for the most part. Pine is what he is using the majority of the time right now as some of the others are hard to find. He made two for our girls for Chrismas, the length on those is about 13-14 inches. He has many already made - approximately 40 right now. No two are exactly alike. I am putting this out there to see if anyone would be interesting in purchasing a handmade flute, as it would be a unique gift for someone you love! And yes, for those I know overseas, I would gladly ship one to you as well. The price for an adult sized flute is $100 and a kid's sized flute is $75. Please pass the word around to those you know who you think might be interested. He is not out to make a fortune on these, he makes these flutes because he loves to do so.
I have five different ones that my uncle has made and as soon as LJ is cooperating, I will post pictures as examples.
Thank you!
Merry Christmas! =D
