birthdayness, part the second

May 13, 2006 10:37

I have about a dozen bottles of alcohol sitting on my desk. Suddenly, I feel like I belong in Evans.

Of course, each bottle is about two inches high. My older sister sent me an introductory kit to alochol consumption for my twenty-first, so along with a corkscrew and bottlestopper, I have one-shot bottles of alcohol labeled with things like I really hate tequila, but a lot of people like margaritas and Peppermint schnapps is good in hot chocolate and Vodka ... that's really all there is to say. They're sitting next to the "quest" that my parents sent me (Adults need a quest, they wrote), a small box that has treasures hidden amongst confetti that I'm supposed to fish out with a pair of tweezers. It's an amazingly distracting game.

In case you couldn't tell, I had a lovely birthday, and a lot of fun with those of you who came to celebrate with me. Thank you! And thank you for the flowers, muffins, balloons, and other things that ended up in my mail box.

And now it's time to put on my thinking cap (by which I mean the sparkly tiara that my parents sent) and type out a few papers amidst all the flowers and piles off confetti currently residing in my room. Ta.

birthday, update, happiness
