It could be my cold speaking

Religions and other primary-identity sub-cultures fill an identical sociological niche because they:
Provide a source of group identity, individual identity, and social interaction
Provide a philosophical and ethical framework, and the language through which philosophy, ethics and community issues can be discussed
Inspire imagination, art, literature and other creative outlets
Serve as a source of goals, effort, volunteerism and accomplishment for individuals and the group
Provides a source of unity necessary for defense of the community and the community ideals
Address universal experiences such as death, sexuality, family life, etc.

Reading this I realized something I should have known all along. To at least one of my friends, Supernatural is religion.
Not the supernatural like you hear on Coast to Coast AM, but Supernatural as it pertains to a certain very tall young man and how he fits his jeans.
I'm very carefully not saying *who* but I wonder if people will out themselves in comments thinking I meant them? But I went through the list and what I know of this friend, and it was a hit on all points.

I posted a picture of the necklace I made William here and my plans for sewing this weekend were ruined by sneezing fits.
We did make it to FCBD, and everyone rejoiced. Well, Dad didn't much see the point, but he likes making William happy and being an extra body to pick up 3 more comics both places made William very happy. I spotted a sign that said Bead Show so of course we stopped. The Turnip picked herself out a couple irregular lampwork beads and I spent entirely too much on brasses and such. Again.
When we got home I quickly made her a necklace like her brothers. I'll get it photographed later.
But other than that.. I'm just sick.
and sort of whiny with it.
