I don't have much to say these days. I work seven days a week, so there's not room for much else (like, I go to the gym and I go out but it's nothing crazy). Austin was fun. I'm going to Interlochen this summer (if I ever get a contract--they've been slow) again. I almost applied to direct Intermediate Boys, but I decided more money wasn't worth it and was, in fact, the wrong reason to take a job I don't particularly want. Besides, that's why I work every day now. If I can save up some money, it will make the strain of having fun this summer less of a strain.
Otherwise, I'm a bad friend because the jerk Judy likes hit on me. I still like every boy who works at Whole Foods, but I don't have reason to see them often. Noe still likes me, and I keep trying to convince myself that I could let that happen, but I know it's just because I like people who like me and I see sometimes when we're talking how much it wouldn't actually work. I resolved in the new year to try to write more and sing more and to look for a new job, but those things are moving slowly amidst full, long days. I'm not unhappy, however, because I have time. Especially in the winter, being busy every day isn't a bad thing and I'll just keep trying to do those other things in my spare time until I get them done.
By far, the best part was dancing in the Best of Dance Chicago show on Saturday. I hadn't performed in such a long time and it was good to feel like a part of the Chicago Dance Community in a different way (a non education and community programs way). It was just really, really fun and the people I met (/went to IHOP with) were good people to meet. So another resolution has become finding a way to dance more. I don't know how, because I don't have time or money, but I have to dance. I'll keep at the hip hop/funk and pilates classes at the gym (they're fun at least, and I think someday my dream is to join a hip-hop crew... I could work at it and be good enough--I really could). I'll tell Jaema I'd like to be in her show if I can. And I'll try to use the space at Links when I can. I have the incredible resource of space at least.
