VAMPS Live Report Part 1 LA
I meant to do this when I got back from that weekend, but had so much homework to catch up with. Now I bring you my experience of seeing VAMPS for the first time live and being lucky enough to see them twice. I went to the LA and San Francisco shows, but could not make it to the Las Vegas one. Oh well I am still happy about it and want to put it into two parts just because I think more fangirling will be done in the second part rather than the first lol. ^_^ This is the October 1st show.
My friends and I pretty much camped out all night with everyone else and were able to get front row at the concert, but before that we watched the VAMPS crew come up and unload their equipment around noon into the venue, which was called Avalon Hollywood right on the Hollywood Boulevard. It was so cool to see the stars on the walkway and trying to see if I recognized any of the names.
Anyway I think it was around 6pm when one of the camera men came over to us and said that VAMPS was coming soon, so we could crowd around the entrance to meet them. About 15 or 30 minutes later VAMPS showed up in a limousine, so cool and stylish. KAZ came out first and waved to us briefly as Hyde came next, which by the way he walks extremely fast where it is hard to take a picture of him. KAZ walks much slower. Then came Ari, Jin, and awesome Ju-ken with his camera still taking pictures of us as he walks by with his pink highlighted hair. It was too cool and for seeing all of them in person I could not believe how small Hyde is! I mean I know he is supposed to be tiny, but I think he is my size lol. KAZ is pretty small too.
Ok on with the show. My spot was right in first row between Hyde and Ju-ken more toward Hyde. The size of the crowd was not bad to me, maybe 500 people at the most and they were all friendly. We were let in at 7pm and the show finally started at 8pm. When they finally arrived the crowd burst into cheers and screaming because when we saw what Hyde was wearing we went crazy. It was a black open shirt that exposed that gorgeous body of his, I could see his abs real well. ~_^ Then he had on a pair of ripped blue jeans with black boots. KAZ from where I was standing had on over-sized layered shirts on of black and white with shorts I thought that were black with black shoes. Ju-ken had a black outfit on as well.
Members:
I think I will describe Ju-ken first. He is the most energetic bass player I have ever seen. He jumped, spun, and danced all night without stopping and engaged with the audience really well. I was just blown away by his power. He is so sweet and fun to watch as you try to take in everything else. You really have to be there to know the experience. I don't know how else to describe it.
Hyde had me mesmerized the whole time, I literally could not take my eyes off of him. And he danced non-stop too, which almost killed me. I have never seen him so energetic and those hips he kept shaking were killing me and my friends. Of course he would stick out his tongue or lick his lips in that sexy way he does as all the girls kept screaming. His voice sounded amazing too on every song with so much emotion and his smile just melted me every time.
KAZ was on the far right of the stage so from where I was standing he is a great guitarist, but he seems to be in his own little world and does not interact with the crowd as much as Hyde and Ju-ken. It was cool to see him do his guitar trick like he did in the I Gotta Kick Start Now PV where he swings it around his body. All in all he is great just quiet. Those three members is all I am going to describe since I focused on them the most. Ari and Jin still were great performers, but they were in the back.
Some MC's that I could remember:
Hyde:
"Hello LA! We're back! Were you waiting for us?" "Let's make love.
"Are you hungry? Are you hungry? I'm so hungry... I want to eat some crazy Americans! Where are you? "Where's my lunch?" This was repeated a few more times while we kept screaming back and forth, so awesome.
Some where in the middle of the concert he began to moan, which caused all of us to scream hysterically lol.
Then he said, "I can feel... I can feel you. It feels... It feels so good. I can feel you in my heart."
KAZ:
Sadly he did say some stuff like he was glad to be back in LA or America I just couldn't hear him too well. I do know that he did say at the end, "Let's get crazy." Then Hyde was like no you have to say it like this, "Let's get crazy!" It was so funny.
That is pretty much all I can remember of the LA show, so now on to part 2 the San Francisco show. ^_^
