One Week & something entirely forgettable ...

One Week was a love poem to Canada, a great movie. It was charming, funny, and probably meant to be inspiring. I liked that it was something different, with a great narrator. At one point, the video cut out, but sound continued, and an audience member says "This is where CBC radio takes over!"

It's billed as "what would you do if you had one week to live?" and yes, it goes over that prospect. But it also ... oh, it is hard to explain where the charm comes from.

I ... what on earth did I see? One Week was the second film, what came first?

Let's see... OH

Julia Roberts and Clive Owen in Duplicity. How entirely silly. Why do they keep putting these two together? We all know that Closer was a disaster. It had its funny moments, and a special thanks to Paul Giamatti. It's a piece of fluff, nothing to rush out and see, but not to be avoided either.
