I spent an entire day writing this essay for English. Finally, after writing essays I thought were good, but Mr. Childs didn't, I scored. On the essay, in purple ink, the only comments were praising it. I feel like I really earned it.

A trite or overused expression or idea: “Even while the phrase was degenerating to cliché in ordinary public use... scholars were giving it increasing attention” (Anthony Brandt).
A person or character whose behavior is predictable or superficial: “There is a young explorer... who turns out not to be quite the cliche expected” (John Crowley). -dictionary.
Everyone compains how that phrase is untrue, thus making it un original and cliche.
Have you ever read any other short stories and poetry besides your own? The "words cut like a knife" crap is always used in gothic poetry which i can't stand. I've heard it way to many times to say you used it originally.
Her insecurities do not give her the right to treat you like crap. However, it would have been nice to hear a two sided story. The thing I don't like about these victim stories is they always make themselves out to be completely innocent. No one ever admits their faults because "everyone else is wrong." If you had shown the least compassion for this girl, maybe the story would have been better.

How would I know her side? I'm not her.
As for saying that EVERYONE knows "sticks and stones' is false, then why was is I was being told it so much? Saying that EVERYONE knows it's false is very follish on your part.
