Strange weekend

May 13, 2007 02:22

First, I was late getting to my folks' house due to: broken car, no way to get friend's scooter to borrow, and missed my first chance for a ride. By the time I got there, my mom had left, my sister's softball game was over and she was on her way to get ready for her first prom. My friend Paul, who ended up driving me, left before I knew what was up, so I walked. From one end of Ypsi to more or less the other. I felt terrible for missing the game AND making my parents miss it, so the nice weather was perfect for a relaxing cross-town jaunt.

Then I spent the night at home watching Ed Wood movies in my room.

Today: my Mamaw's 89th birthday party, full of familial fun. Saw some family from out of town, met my cousin Heather's new baby, Leo, and had my Mamaw basically tell me she was pretty sure this would be her last birthday. DID NOT want to hear that. Also, saw a wedding photo from my parent's hitchin', the only photo I've ever seen with my grandmothers from both sides. They seemed to like each other.

Then, I came home and did not go see Captured! By Robots like I had planned for a month or more. Damn bills making me miss out on robots. Rather, I had nice conversation and nicer beer with Josh L and Baby Chauncey.

TOMORROW: Pistons VS Bulls GAME 4!!!!!

(PLEASE SWEEP)

Leaving for tour again in less than a month, so, yeah.....

word.

seester, family, beer, pistons
