Clearwater festival

The Clearwater Festival is next weekend! Yay!

I got my volunteer packet - I'm going to be working in the environmental education tent. That will be cool, as long as I get decent hours (If I recall, this tent closes prior to the bigger main stage acts). It's also good because it's under a tent - both sun and rain protection! Plus, I get to teach kiddies about the Hudson River! :-)

The festival schedules are up, and look awesome. I can't believe I was thinking of skipping this year because the music looked uninteresting. I think the Pete Seeger birthday concert kinda changed my view on some of these people (and introduced me to Taj Mahal!). I am excited to see Tao Rodriguez-Seeger play by himself. I don't recall ever seeing Tao solo shows anywhere. Does he even have a solo-album out?
Here are the schedules:

Saturday
Sunday

I'm trying to guess who the volunteer dance party band might be. Usually it is the last band at the dance tent on Saturday night. The last band is Jay and Molly Mason. Mike and Ruthy are also playing the dance tent. What would be totally awesome would be Jay and Molly, Mike and Ruthy and Tao Rodriguez-Seeger all playing together! Mammals reunion, anyone?

And for anyone who's interest is peaked by the post, it is really easy to get to the festival by train.

folk music, clearwater, things to do
