We're back from NJ. It was a really worthwhile trip. I learned a lot and had fun too. I also am almost done with my Grandpa's hat. Unfortuantely it is HUGE!!!! I thought doing a top-down hat was supposed to make it fit better! I am afraid I might have to purposely shrink/felt it. I would hate to do that because the yarn is Sooooo Soft!
I forgot to mention something really special in my last post.
winteredheart and I have the most amazing oppurtunity in the future. We are going to see a concert with ANI DIFRANCO and PETE SEEGER. I am so f-ing excited. These two are some of my greatest idols, and they are going to be on stage together! It's going to be something very special. To top it all off, we decided to pay extra $$ and got special passes that include an invitation to the "Artists Gathering" after the concert. That's right, we're going to get to meet both of them! I have always wanted to meet and talk to Ms DiFranco, and Pete Seeger is such a joy just to be around. I would be honored just to shake his hand.
Maggie and I are going to do something fangirlish and knit some gifts for Ani, Pete and maybe Petah (ani's baby daughter). I am thinking of making Ani
this scarf. ANy other suggestions? Someone suggested making Pete fingerless gloves so he can still play the banjo. I think that's a neat idea, but don't know if I could make them by the 18th. Luckily I can spilt whatever we decide to make with the Mag-ster.
