This is a little bit of an awkward post, but I need some help...
I’ve tasked myself with putting together some music for my Grandma's service. So people don’t have to listen to cheesy instrumental hymns as they enter. Does anyone have suggestions for songs? Just to help narrow things down, my grandmother was very religious. Also, some of my uncles are pretty conservative, so I don’t want to put in something that might be seen as non-Christian (I’m on the fence about including “Gentle Arms of Eden” by Dave Carter). Also, in general I’m trying to use songs with a positive message.
Here’s what I have so far
Crooked Still - Ecstasy
Crooked Still - Lone Pilgrim
Red Molly - When the Roll is Called up Yonder
Eliza Gilkyson - Requiem
Eliza - When you Walk on
Dave Carter and Tracey Grammer - Gentle Solider of my Soul
Various songs by Chris and Meredith Thompson including Amazing Grace
Also, I’m looking for an Mp3 of “Be Thou My Vision”…specifically I am looking for the Van Morrison version, but I’d like to hear any “folky” versions
Finally, I need some help from someone with the ability to edit MP3s. Some of the songs I want to use have clapping or audience banter in the file, and I need to get rid of it. Is that possible? I would need this done today.
Thanks in advance
