im going to sleep with my eyes open
as if waiting for st. nick to come down
i just want to see a light fall of these
crystals people speak of

i want them to lightly sting my arms and face as they hit
i want to spin with my arms above me
to make as many as i can land on just me.

maybe have there be enough to make tiny pile in my palm
