I know what I want, and I know that I need it right now.

Absolutely cannot put off getting a job any longer. I am dialing today to ask about work; somebody wants some part-time clerical help. I can type 25 wpm. In fact, I can type twice that. In the worst-case scenario, I can wash dishes at the Golden Corral.

To encourage myself to get a job, I am bribing myself with a new pair of sneakers, which I desperately need as I managed to rip the sole loose on the old ones, which I have only had for a year. GODDAMMIT. This means I am reduced to wearing the steel-toed boots, which are not much of an improvement as I've had them since I was 18. God, I have no idea what I'm going to do for shoes when I have an interview. I can't exactly wear my sparkly heels or my Asian sandals, and I don't know if I can even locate my ordinary dress shoes. OH TEH AGNTS.

I got an A on my L304 test. w00t! Go me!

I am looking at a TI app even as I try to catch up on games.

Easter was good. m0mmy came up, and we did what we always do every time she comes to visit, which is spend two days in the kitchen cooking. We both like to cook and are good at it. I made a Lady Baltimore cake (hey, Jesus only rises from the dead once a year), but forgot the egg whites; however, it was still tasty, and I could eat the filling by itself (not that I should, but it's really tasty: icing + figs + raisins + walnuts). We had ham and green beans for Easter dinner, along with a nice potato-and-cheese casserole. Also I've got a vat of chicken and noodles that I made on Saturday. I don't have a mixer, so that entailed beating the icing by hand. m0mmy loved her Easter basket (I make one for my m0mmy every year, okay?), and she brought me a tool box. Yes! Hand tools! Kickass!

I get to find out how I did on the G150 test this afternoon. I'm scared. I know I nailed translation and most of the vocabulary, and I can decline ostis like nobody's business, but I'm pretty sure I struck out on most of those principal parts. (Latin verbs have four principal parts, which is quite sufficient if you have ever been made to conjugate Latin verbs. Greek verbs have six, which is more than plenty. To add to the grammatical fun, not all Greek verbs have the six principal parts, so you can't really tell if you're forgetting one or if the verb is just fucked up.

The apartment is clean, and oh my God, I am so together it scares me. I feel like I'm finally on the up.
