I went home to m0mmy's yesterday and am probably leaving in about another hour or so (sigh); since I have the digicam, I'm going to try and get some pictures up. There aren't many of them anyway. L304 exam Wednesday (eeeeek!). It's nice to be home, but I've been feeling terribly restless. I want spring to be here, probably because this winter has sucked ass for me on many levels.
I have Latin and Greek to do tonight, and I'd like to read some Suetonius and the C495 articles. And I need to start looking for a job in earnest, and filling out my FAFSA. And of course 1800 people wrote and I have to get back to them. It's not that this is a hardship so much as I want to be better about that and I never seem to have the time, and you can't just tell people, "Look, I don't want to talk to you for a while and it's nothing personal, I just can't seem to manage my time properly". At least if I get a job, I'll be forced to use my time better.
And I want it to be spring. I WANT IT TO BE SPRING. And while I'm being unreasonable, I am the Enfant Terrible of American Classical Studies! And I want it to be spring, and then I want my colleagues FLOGGED for being better at Latin meter than I am, and then I want PUDDING for dinner and NOTHING ELSE! And if anybody doesn't like it, they can translate the first six books of the AENEID! Does anybody WANT to translate the first six books of the Aeneid? I didn't THINK SO! Now BRING ME my ILLUMINATED MANUSCRIPT OF HOMER!
