Poll You Be The Judge!

For your reference:
New Harmony. I have been before, but it was like 10 years ago, and you know how I am about socialism.

Piercing in Vincennes. This place comes recommended by Ainsley, who had her nose done and was pleased, so despite the site design, I trust her judgment.

new harmony, fun with no purpose, daytripping, vincennes, polls, ainsley

Hahah yeah I am back! It's been hectic. ;__;

No, it wasn't ER bad, but it could have been if I was even more stubborn than I was.

The first time, I was very young and took poor care of my ears. It got infected and the rash spread all the way to my face when I decided to call it quits.

The second time was a few years ago, I was pulled into a teeny bopper store at the mall by peer pressure from my aunt and cousin to get my ears pierced. There, I bought "titanium" earrings (I have very sensitive skin) to go with my piercing for $25. At that price, it was probably more like titanium coated, if even that. Long story short: my ears swelled all nasty-like and I looked like Buddha, so I had to remove them before it became impossible to do it by hand and I'd have to resort to surgery. Since I took them out within the first week, there was no chance of me salvaging my piercing, and I'd have to wait until it healed so I can repierce.

I'm getting married in May and want pierced ears by then, but now I am seriously chickening out and considering clip ons or just au naturale.

Oh, eww--poor Pixel, that's horrific. DDDD: I was 13 when I had the first holes put in, and my parents made me prove that I could take care of them first before they'd allow me to have it done, so I didn't have a whole lot of problems (other than that my right ear has had some Staying Open Properly issues; I finally gave up and keep earrings in it as much as possible so it doesn't close altogether).

Teeny bopper stores are horrifying. Your sensitive skin is probably at least partially at fault for the swollen lobes, but also, the ear piercing guns they use at those places can't be properly sterilized. (Rubbing alcohol does not get the job done.) Not, you know, to give you a case of the galloping paranoids or anything.

If you do decide to have them pierced again (eventually), I'd go to a reputable professional piercer. If they're on the up and up, they won't mind when you're all like SHOW ME YOUR AUTOCLAVE OMG.

Will definitely write about it if I summon up the courage to go! Or at least twitter about it. XD I iz lazy mkayyyy

Anytime you're having somebody jab needles into your flesh, it's normal to be scared. XD Hell, if I'd had swollen earlobes and infection rashes, I'd be scared too.

I should ttly get back on Twitter. I have been SO BAD about social networking since, like, before Callice died or thereabouts. D:
