East0r r00lz. :D We watched the tail end of The Ten Commandments last night (of course it wasn't shown today or anything). Mom observed that Charlton Heston had a great voice for Biblical words such as "iniquity" and "smite" and all that, which is fair enough when you see him as Moses; she said, "He could be a lector!" Is it an unspoken Easter dinner requirement to have strawberry shortcake? Because we did, too, although instead of ham, we broke what I guess is meant to be an Easter tradition, and we ate steak.

But then again, this part of my family isn't very religious, so such traditions aren't that life-altering when we change them. Your family, I imagine, has much different views on that.

Well, we're not devastated if we don't get East0r ham. Sometimes we have lamb of leg instead. :9 Also we had garlic potato loaf and green beans, if you wanted to compare side dishes. I would only think this were a kreepy case of weird synergisms if you had to duplicate my East0r dinner EXACTLY DOWN TO THE LAST SMIDGEN.

Well, Easter Mass (when I was growing up) was always part of the whole deal, but generally we're pretty easygoing about the food bits, though we usually have ham. And candy.
