I have no idea how I'm going to get through this week. At least it's mostly over.
m0mmy asked me for a birthday list, and I had to tell her the truth: I don't care. My birthday coincides too nearly with the anniversary of a very unpleasant event in my life (no, not being born!), and I was never big on it anyway. If I gave a flying fuck about my birthday this year, I would not be doing overtime. As it is, I am.
Perhaps I should not have stressed that I don't know what time I'll be home and that I chose to do overtime--I was not asked to do it, but let's face it, the property files are not inputting themselves, and we've got files from last month still sitting around.
Also: if my father calls, I'm not home. I don't see what's not to like.
