First of all: Sorry about the multiple posts. Here's one with -actual- news and quiz-free, guaranteed.
I met up with my fellow kendoka, Helena, today for a little sushi-devouring. Since she's vegetarian I thought she'd eat just that, but she happily ordered a regular sushi plate. I didn't say anything but I thought about the meat-fish-bird debate I had a while ago at school...
Anyway, I ordered yakiniku. We both got our orders "to go" since it was cheaper and parked our butts on a park bench. I started eating and noticed that Helena hadn't touched her food and it turned out that she'd never eaten sushi. I explained how you were supposed to eat it and what to eat first and blah blah. It went ok, but after barely two bites she started crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said that the wasabi was too strong as well as the ginger. I did my best not to laugh and so we went to a nearby quick-e-mart (*waves simpson-flag*) and bought something for her to drink. She couldn't muster more than half of the plate, so I did the noble deed of finishing the rest for her. ^^
After that we headed to the subway station, and since my train wouldn't arrive until 13 minutes later she stayed and waited with me. While we stood there another kendoka passed by and we stood there and chatted for a bit, when I noticed that my train had just arrived to the platform! Eek! I hugged them quickly before bounding up the stairs, however my shoulder bag that I had with me was heavier than I thought and so I stumbled when I couldn't lift my right leg fast enough. I got up again, and just when I got to the top of the stairs I stumbled AGAIN! And I landed on my left knee on both of the times. T_T I landed on the soft part where the doctors usually hit with their hammers to check our reflexes, so it didn't bleed or anything but it's all... lumpy. o__O
So. At 19.40 (twenty to eight) I called my mom's cell phone and asked where the heck she was, tomorrow's monday and all. She simply replied by telling me that she and my stepdad are coming home tomorrow which I didn't know about at all. I tried asking why she hadn't told me that when she called me before, and she just said that she'd only called to tell me some stuff, not to tell me how long they were staying. Argh. Stupid mother. Probably drunk. >:(
On a side note: I've been trying to draw Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, but I'm progressing so slowly that I'm almost ready to pull my hair out in frustration. Thank you, midori, for distracting me. ;_; *clings*
