It's with mixed feelings that I've returned from my dear Japan to the (as always) slightly colder Sweden. I had a lot of fun there, but at the same time... well, it's good to be back in a way. Even though the jet-lag causes me to be as perky as a sloth, despite getting 12 hours of sleep. Gah. x_x
I got back monday night after a bit of "we're gonna miss our plane AAAAAAAAH!!"-drama in London. Heathrow was so packed with aeroplanes that our plane had to circle around above London for some 10 minutes or so, and when we finally landed me and sis went as fast as we could to the security check before we could get to our flight to Stockholm.
We landed at terminal 1 and our Stockholm-flight left from terminal 1 as well, so it should've been a fast and easy deal switching planes, right? Wrong. T_T The security check-point was an eternity away, and EVERYONE who's flying from terminal 1 has to go past it, so we stood there in queue for nearly 40 minutes. That, plus the fact that our plane was 35 minutes late (I don't know how it happened, we even left 15 minutes earlier from Tokyo than we were supposed to!), caused us to be late for our gate-check-in-thingy. We ran towards terminal 1, having no idea which gate we were supposed to be at, 10 minutes past the gate's closing time... Eek! @w@;
We just made it and were congratulated by the personnel (I love Brits *mwahs
vafan_so_dance!* ^x^). Our luggage was left in Heathrow, so we got it sent to us one day later. The second flight was eventless, and I reflected on the differences between our journey to and fro Japan. I didn't think the journey TO Japan had been too much of a bother, but going home was a total pain in the bum. Aaand that, apart from the Heathrow-drama, was probably the biggest difference, hah! Oh! And when we flew above northern Russia and across Siberia was when I had my biggest fears of our plane crashing. Even if we DID survive, who would be there to rescue us?! *imagines looking out at a refrigerated landscape with only a reindeer for company* Aaaah! xO
Hrm-hrm. Right. So. I've got presents for some who asked for it, and for some who didn't.
dancing_moon, you know what you're going to get (well, almost), but it's in the same shipment as all of my other doujinshi, so you'll get your stuff in a couple of months time. Well, uuh... I don't think I had anything else to say... other than:
