Germany
Backies from a trip to Germany. Although for work, the people I work with are also friends! And of course my b-day had to celebrated was there thought. So we went out for dinner with 25 persons. And suddenly they started to sing the song happy b-day. If that was not enough the other guests in the restaurant joined in and I even had to stand on the table! Grrrr I’ll remember this and will get back to some of them! But I was offered lots of free beer. And Germans are good at making their beers. Its just that they are served in 0.13 gallon sized glasses. And for one who normally drinks whiskey that’s a lot!
The next day after work (and yes we do work on those days, but I am not going to bore you with that) we went to the Irish pub. And they were doing some quiz in there, which was totally new for me, but my English friends I was with assured me that its common in the UK. Silly English driving on the wrong side of the road…. Pubs with quizzes… Anyways we were dragged to do the quiz also. We called our team “Monty Python” and ended up second! Which ended with us drinking more beer.
The trip to and back from Germany was done by train. A high speed train. This was a nice trip (the country side was really beautiful) and we drove even 186 mph which was fun.
