An unusually fun, busy, and delicious Sunday!
Good morning! I have people coming over who MAY go in my room, so i "make" my bed. heh. Someone's (*ahem*superduckie*ahem*) in my bathroom so i use the grody one for immediate business while i wait.
Time check on my pretty new HUGE computer! Black Friday special :-) (ignore the messy desk, please...) Do my bathroom stuff then grab a banana to hold me til brunch.
Work on making brunch foods (overnight nutella french toast is the one on the left)...as I finish up a friend arrives! superduckie as staying with me for the weekend so some of our local friends came by to see her since it's been forever since she's been up. The redhead is Steph, I forgot to take a picture of Jordana when she came--oh well. Yummy foods!
Pack up my bag and my boots (just in case, you'll see why). Then Garry the Garmin takes me to the airport to say bye to Alyssa (booooo) and then to my brother's house (yaaaaaay).
We open some belated Chanukah presents--brother procrastinates by reading the comics which wrapped his present, and then makes goofy faces when he opens it! It is a ginormous Lego Technic set he forgot he asked for back in August, so it was a really good surprise :-) My present from him and my SIL is just what i wanted!
Tea for me, and then Mom, Meryl (my SIL) and I head out! First stop/parking: the Prudential center.
Then we head out in the rain for a Chocolate Walking Tour around the Back Bay! First stop was Teuscher's, a Swiss chocolatier that was decorated beautifully. They gave us champagne truffles that were THE BOMB. Meryl also bought me a chocolate-covered orange slice that was aaaaawesome.
More stops--a local market, a place called Robin's that had wicked cool stuff like a 25lb Santa and a 2lb whoopie pie, Lindt, and the Kickass Cupcakes truck where we each got a mini cookie dough cupcake. OMNOMNOM.
Our last stop was inside a big hotel/shopping plaza thing, but i didn't get a picture of it--instead i took a picture of the giant menorah across the street from the Public Library. :-)
When it's done, we head to the food court at the Pru for *real* food. Despite the restaurant we chose i'm the only one who got grilled cheese (with turkey and basil)--Mom and Meryl got soup. It was cold out!
Texting with the boy. Lol. Potty stop before we leave, where i discover someone's left almost their entire starbies drink. How sad!
Back at my brother's, check out his progress. He's using their brand-new foam kitchen mat to sit on--genius! He didn't finish til 12:15 that night. It was an INTENSE set! I take a bit of a rest and drink some caffienated tea before heading home.
Just a brag...MY latest Lego creation. This was one of my chanukah presents from my bf. It is AWESOME. Though I wasn't expecting him, said bf comes over <3
We have *ahem* cuddle-time, after which he apparently gets hungry and must eat Cookie Crisp in bed. I swear he's an adult...Finally it's bedtime. G'night!
