At Work... Again
So yes, I'm at work again, and this is the first time I've been able to sit for the past few hours. See, our key maker crapped out on us Wed. night. So Thursday we have them ship us a new handheld unit. Get it Friday morning. Doesn't work. They say we need a whole new encoder so we pay over $2000 to get it shipped same day. Weather delays and whatnot it doesn't get here until quarter to 9. Get it all hooked up, yay, it makes keys! Not yay, they don't open the fucking doors. It's not programmed right. So, give a call to their emergency number, "Oh, you're going to have to reprogram all the locks in the building." Fuck Me. Fine, get the thing ready, start to reprogram, and it don't fucking work.
So, busy weekend, and I have spent it running around the hotel opening doors for guests. Gods, I'm not going to have to go to a gym at all if I can keep this up. A couple of the guests are so impressed with how we're handling this, and how they'll take the elevator and me taking the stairs will beat them up to the 3rd or 4th floor.... my legs are going to KILL me later tonight!
So anyways, we still don't have keys. We probably won't have keys until late this week.
At least Laura is in San Francisco for the week!
