Writer's Block: There Can Be Only One
I don't want to say no, but I have trouble with the idea. Monogamy is inflated to mean perfection in a relationship. I think people get overwhelmed at the thought of one person forever. If you are in a relationship where one person has different sexual wants and desires that the other has no interest in, you create a situation where even if no one strays, the relationship will be damaged anyway. Guilt, anger, and resentment will eventually destroy it.
