Idiots in the Modern Workplace. Part 2.
Ah, the joys of my job. My entire schedule for the next month just got flipped upside down and inside out because an assistant m. has decided to give two weeks notice. She's only been with us for five months, but if the position's requirements are so damned hard on you to begin with, why accept the promotion? Which means will we be down to just FOUR managers. Normally, there's five or six. It doesn't help that one is on his vacation in two weeks. And because of mandatory meetings that we have to send someone to, I get to work a twelve hour shift. That's if we get out on time. Twelve damn hours on my feet, dealing with people who are too busy babbling into their cellphones to be able to order their food the way they want it. I can't read your mind, stupid. I really don't want to hear you tell your friend about the oozing sore you found when you showered this morning. (Yes, I have heard someone talk about that.) I don't want to hear you calling someone to set up who's going to bring what sex toy. (Again, I've heard this. Really.) I'm tired just thinking about it.
