Yesterday I had the appetite of a 6 year old. Hot dog, chicken nugget value meal at McDonald's, grilled cheese for dinner, and cookies cookies cookies. I also had the stomach ache to go along with it when I went to bed last night. So today I'm making up a batch of
zucchini chowder, as I just can't bring myself to eat salad this time of year. I really don't dig salad except for during hot months. Soups, on the other hand, I can get behind.
I made a trip to the used bookstores in Tupelo yesterday. They took 28 of the 32 books I culled (for a total of $47 of credit), and I
brought home 17, only spending $14. Three of those books were a gift for another friend of mine that I saw last night. I'm pretty pleased with everything I found, although I'm annoyed at publishers who don't make it clear on the physical book where a particular book falls in a series. All that info is on Amazon--why don't they put it on the cover?
It rained again yesterday, but the house is still mostly clean. DH is done with his recording project, so all the recording equipment and power cords and audio cables that have been snaking around my dining room are going to be put away today. I'll return my neighbor's vacuum when I go over this afternoon for our Christmas craft project.
The List is almost finished. I still need to windex tables, finish the last load of laundry, wash the comforter, and make cookies, but baking will be happening tomorrow. I'm just so happy to have a clean house! Technically the dogs could use baths, but it's chilly out, not to mention muddy, so really, what's the point? In any event, the weather's gorgeous today, and as much as the dogs have been cooped up lately, I'm totally taking them for a walk.
