Suspense Plots Everywhere

The holiday fest continues tonight with Pillsbury sugar cookies (you know the ones with like reindeer and snowmen and such) and a viewing of The Polar Express in HD.  The hot chocolate scene is my favorite.  I'm obscenely full (because, yeah, we cooked the whole package and ate all of them--but hey, we only do this once a year, one package, that's it).  It is a sign of my preoccupation with suspense plots that as I watched the train pull up to pick the boy up, I thought that it would be a fabulous way to kidnap children and freak the hell out of parents.  So then my brain starts spinning a twisted Christmas themed kidnapping story, with some sort of Christmas style miracle rescue thing at the end.  Yeah, I know.  I'm weird.

Tomorrow is decoraing time, lights on the house, Christmas village, and trimming the tree.  I've got something new I want to try with the ribbon this year.  I always do a big bow at the top, but historically, I wrap it around and weave it in and out of the branches--2 colors...red for me, purple for DH.  This year I want to try this.  Just like those gorgeous trees kitted out by florists.  I'll take pics when I'm done.

christmas, plotting
