I just got back from seeing the runway show for the studio my roommate works for. Not knowing fashion week etiquette benefited me alot. I was seated in the bleachers instead of the lowly standing room only back part. The clothes were not bad at all. It is definitely the best clothes produced by a place my roommate has worked at. The models were a lot shorter than I expected, and a lot skinnier. I saw bones, pelvic bones, through clothes! I don't know why, but they chose shoes for them that were somewhere between what a stripper or a drag queen would wear. It seemed kind of odd since the clothes themselves were not that at all. It was something way way WAY out of my element. I had no idea who the famous people were that photographers were hovering around. I am sure my roommate feels the same when I go on and on about architects/architecture. Fashion shows last five minutes, and make me want to eat food to compensate for the models. Even though they were skinny, I can out tiny arm them in a second. I don't know what is wrong with my arms. I am pretty sure I stole them from a starving child. I am going to link this to architecture by stating that the gallery that the show was held in was one of the first projects I worked on as an architecture intern in New York.
