(no subject)
No work today! *does a happy dance* I really am liking my schedule lately. I've been getting only about half as many hours, but I get to work half as many days as well. WOOHOO! Of course, this also means that since I'm home most of the time, I get to do most of the house work. Then again, that's not such a bad thing since mike has proven pretty much incapable of any housework unless I threaten to beat him. *sighs* So, I've pretty much got a clean kitchen now (well, dishes at least) and the bedroom is getting to be almost liveable (doin' the laundry right now).
All the heating in our apartment was recently rerouted, oh man was that living hell. It's a long story, but suffice to say we spent four days with nothing more than a small square of our living room to sleep in. Everything else in the house was piled up in the center of the rooms. Mike ended up calling in to work the first day of all this because the managers of the complex decided not to give us any notice at all. In any case, we're also trying to slowly put the house back together again. It's slow and sorta painful (especially with that damned entertainment center) but I think I'm happier with where the furniture is ending up anyways.
Mike's birthday is early next month. I don't know what I'm going to get him, or make him, of whatever. He's got all the lastest shadowrun books, clear down to the new Shadowrun novels. He doesn't need clothes, or really any toys. Although, i'm thinking about getting him a small train set, if I can figure out where he can set it up. I should start on his card too. It sure as hell doesn't help that his birthday is so close to valentines day. I've got a rediculous amount of cards to make.
That reminds me....I still have to mail out the christmas presents for my family....if I can find them all.
