I'm on a role!!
Ooooh....so I requested the computer I had the first day, today. Thankfully that means no more squeaking. Of course, these keys are a bit harder to type, but it's a sacrifice i'm willing to make for the sake of my sanity. I can't stand that squeaky squeaky squeak every time I hit the space bar. Bleh!
So Nifer and Matt came over to my new apartment last night! We played Sequence (one of my favorite games of all time) and then just kinda hung out. I realized something though. I've horribly missed having people around. Not just because my apartment is so lonely, but because I just really love having guests. Maybe it's due to my growing up in such a packed house...always at least six people around at any time. Usually more. I think that the lack of voices is a little strange. Sorta.....incomplete. Thankfully mike'll be here on monday. He's gonna come up for three days so he can do some real job hunting. I'm really praying that something will actually come of all this....and soon. It gets a little scary when you've only got a couple weeks left, ya know?
I think my goal for the day today is to explore downtown. It's been a long time since I've been here, and I really never got to walk it. I've found that the best way to get to know an area is to walk it. Not just drive around and look at stuff. You have to get outta the car and walk around, go into the shops, dodge the traffic, walk. I love it. The fact that there's actually sunshine out today only adds a little bonus to the deal!
