I'm so sorry, I went way too long without checking this email account and only just saw this now.

I did have my tubes tied. It did hurt, but it was totally worth it in my opinion. I don't know if you have had any other surgeries but the pain you have with this is a muscle pain. Basically, when you're not moving, you feel fine. But, if you move in a way that makes the sore muscles move, there is a sharp pain. You learn pretty quickly how not to move those muscles though :)

You have to walk pretty slowly for the first few days and wear very loose clothing. But, the pain does recede and it isn't nearly so bad as the pain you get with a bad flu or if you throw your back out because as I said, when you are still, it doesn't really hurt.

I can totally understand being scared, it's totally natural and I had some feelings of nervousness before my surgery too. But I was 100% certain that I never wanted to bear children, and I haven't regretted the decision for a moment. If you too are that certain that you don't want to take the risk of getting pregnant in future, then I think this is the best way to be certain.

I hope I'm not too late to reassure you. *hugs* Good luck, whatever you decide.
