My My, July, but Why?

are of many different nationalities and locations, so to those of you that it concerns: Happy Fourth of July! And our our deepest condolences to the British. ;)
However, what today - the 4th of July - signifies to us, is the ONE WEEK MARK until the opening of The Official Sign-ups for the artists! Poop is getting real folks, and our's here at Shaggy does NOT stink! (ew)

We promise you, here at shaggydog_swap, there is no such thing as Bad Art. We're not here to scoff, to judge, to vote, etc. We're here to create fanart and fanfiction! All we ask are that guidelines are followed to avoid unfairness to authors. These are to avoid one author having to pull inspiration from something that took significantly less heart, soul, and effort that another. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but photoshopping a photograph is pretty easy to compare to a hand-painted original work.
Throughout my life, and looking whilst bored here on LJ, I've noticed that A LOT of people are July babies!! shaggydog_swap's 0th birthday was the 19th of May, 2011! And I, myself, am an April baby (April 11th, Aries if it matters), and I seem to make a lot of Cancer friends. Particularly July 23rd babies. Wtf? Anyway, I love birthdays, because I am quite fond of memorising, and subsequently impressing people with my knowledge of, dates. So, here it comes:
