So last night I had a dream where Captain Hook was telling me that everything was a lie and it was all true too. He said something like:

What you find is true on Sunday
You will find a lie come Monday
On Tuesday it's an allegory
Then Wednesday it's a fairy story
Thursday you look for that true Kernel
And on Friday you find a truth eternal
You can learn the lesson from it Saturday
And find it true again come Sunday
Of course Sundays are all proud you see
You cannot expect them to agree

I think I have been dealing with entirely too much Peter Pan. Just finished Peter Pan in Scarlet today, I'm not sure wether I liked it or disliked it, it was sort of maddeningly in the middle there. There were certain parts I was really into and interested in, and others that really quite displeased me and a whole lot that just bored me. Some of it just seemed far too easy. So I just don't know how I felt about it. I think my problem may have been it was a little too ex-lost boy centric. I think the only people who really worked for me were Ravello and Tootles. And even Ravello sometimes was a bit eh. Of course that may have been because I knew Ravello's secret going in. So, hmmph, I dunno.

Had an interesting argument with arlla about the origin of the hook as a prosthetic, since I had the phrase: he finally had a hook made in what he said was the proper sailing tradition. arlla said that Hook started all that, so someone coming before Captain Hook's fame couldn't have a Hook in good maritime tradition. So I tried to research it on the internet and found historical information rather lacking. The best I could do was find a site which mentioned that iron hooks were about the best you could do from 500-1500ad. While this doesn't really prove either of us right I think it shows hooks predated Hook, so I can probably get away with the statement. OF course the statement is still sort of unsatisfactory so I sort of lose the argument anyway. Poop. Oh, well.

Get to hang out with bookofnicodemus tomorrow. That should be fun at least. I think we are all going to see Casino Royal again, which I expect to like better on a second viewing since I know not to expect all the traditional bond stuff. bookofnicodemus also informed me over the phone that the guy who plays James Bond has requested gay sex to appear in the next Bond film and has volunteered his own penis for it. I don't know if it is actually true, but it gives me a giggle so I hope it is. Hey it would go along with their updating Bond theme ;) If they can't have nifty gadgets I feel they should at least give us gay sex :D
Signing off,
