The only purpose this serves is to fend off boredom at work

So went home again this past weekend to finish up the last phase of my birthday celebrations with friends and family. My parents clearly picked up on the fact that I seem like a wine person...and not only that, but also that I prefer white wine. Crazy awesome. They got me a bottle of gburg wine called Tears of Gettysburg. It reminds me of chardonnay/pinot grigio. And the first bottle of it was bottled in 1988 haha how cute. My mom also got me a wine cork for recorking bottles. It's very cute with a little bunch of grapes on top. She also got me wine glass decorations for my wine goblets. They're little glass dolphins. Too bad they came in a set of 9 and I only have 4 wine glasses...this must be remedied.

Mike got me a kit for making ice shot glasses! That will be super exciting for parties I want to throw in the future (or if I'm lacking ice cubes). Emily brought me Lemon Cello from Italy! Very delicious and exciting and I can't wait until the right moment to have a bit. David says that I am on notice to think of a gift that I want....and I'm still thinking about it. There are so many options. I mean I walked into the liquor store for the first time and bought 10 bottles of various things because I need as many drink possibilities as humanly possible! Though now I really need gin...for inventing more delicious gin drinks. Which was completely successful when I was at Alex Engel's house.

I also finally had a Stella Artois! God, Belgian beer is so delicious. Lyndsey was totally right about this beer. It is a must have. I ordered it from Olive Garden...so delicious.

Speaking of more beer...My parents gave Becky and me a ride home on Tuesday and we stopped at Hofbrauhaus.  The dining room was closed when we got there at 4:20 and would open at 5:00, so we found that they had a lounge...we were like ok we're all 21...let's just sit around and have a beer. We walk in and it is one of those incredibly sketchy bars with the skeevy old men sitting there. We just sort of pause for a moment...and go in. They have some Budweiser special going on, so I grab a Bud Light...which tasted fine to me because it is not Natural Light..oh college. **Thought tangent-- I saw The Hangover with the Alexes and it was hilarious, but the one part of the movie that made me so amused was in the beginning the 4 men took shots of Jaegermeister and one made the comment..."Feels like college". Indeed I hope to never take a straight shot of Jaeger after college...but probably will end up doing so at some random point in my life. oy. ** But yes then we went into the dining room to have a delicious german meal and I tred a random german weiss beer that was bottled by Spaten...it was too bitter for my tastes and I don't even remember what it's called but that's ok.

Also I'm listening to PST at work right now and I'm ashamed to say that I actually enjoy Taylor Swift's new single...Feel free to berate me. "And I said Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone..."

I just realized that's the first thing in this random as crap update not about alcohol. Um...yes. I love being 21. Whoever said being 21 makes alcohol not as exciting clearly never tried anything other than binge drinking. There are so many more possibilities to my life now! I can go into any bar I want and try any new exciting drink that I want! I can go to classy cocktail parties in art galleries and sip champagne! Incredible prospects!

I feel like this post deserves a random meme...I'll see what I find later, but I suppose I should list some more books on Amazon now...boo
