It's not about me or mine personally, but it's happy news nonetheless.
I don't know how much of my flist have been paying attention to the Steven Truscott appeal, etc. Well, today was the appeal court's announcement on their findings whether Steven Truscott was guilty of the murder and rape of Lynne Harper 48 years ago.
Well, the answer came down from on high and it was: ACQUITTAL!!!! I am so happy for Mr. Truscott and his family. I mean, heck, I wasn't even alive when Lynne Harper was murdered, but there was just something in all the literature I've read about the case that made me always believe that Mr. Truscott was wrongly convicted of the crime. My mom was just 9 years old when this happened and she's always believed that Mr. Truscott was wrongly accused as well.
And to think I live in the town where this all happened...
