Last weekend, we moved into the house! It's taken me this long to post because we had some trouble getting the Internet hooked up at the new location. But everything's cool now and I have a few more photos.
The main thing we learned from the move is that we have too many books.
It took all of Saturday to carry our stuff down from our third-floor apartment in San Francisco and transport it to Berkeley. But here it is. All our stuff. There's a house somewhere under it.
I immediately collapsed on the couch.
Our first home-cooked dinner:
Eerily, our dishes actually match the bizarre yellow-orange countertops.
The bathroom continues to creep toward completion. Now we have walls.
And some shower tile!
As you can see, the old floor tiles are in pretty good shape. Mario did a great job replacing the missing patches (mostly around the toilet) with new tiles that blend in.
The kitchen now has both a stove and a fridge, which is very exciting, and today we got a washer and dryer. The new kitchen baseboards have also been put in. Andrew's been hanging curtains around the house. I'll have to post more photos later.
