Rant About EA

Hi Erik...this is buzzlghtyrs wife....i just wanted to say, you said this exactly right. I just couldnt pass this up without voicing my opinion.
I cant believe how bad EA has screwed so many of its employees. I must ask, what happened to the "development group" who started all of this in the first place?? Did they go to hourly...um.. NO. Instead they put people who werent even involved in the lawsuit in the first place out to dry.
It amazes me to read what your saying about the survey that people would rather have higher pay than benefits... well, where exactly is the higher pay?? So far, everyone i have heard of effected by this has taken drastic PAY CUTS!! So, essentially they have not only taken your money away but taken away the benefits as well! What the hell?? Why bother working there?? They have taken away some of the most enticing reasons to work there to begin with. Are they trying to make all of you move on to new companies for work? Are they just trying to throw their weight around?? This is just pathetic. Some of the employees they are screwing have been employed by EA for many years and worked their way up through pay raises and such, only to be knocked back down to where they first started! I know Buzz has lost pretty much every raise he has ever received because of this cut.
What incentive do you have as an employee to sell more games? Why should you care if they go out on time or even work to begin with?? You can sell one game or two hundred and it will make no difference to you.. after all, you get paid the same regardless. I dont understand what they are trying to accomplish here.
Before my husband liked his job, now he isnt even interested. He felt like he was going somewhere, he wasnt just a pee-on...now he has been reverted back to a "no one" and realizes the people there dont care if he works there or not. He is expendable.
So, why work hard? Why go the extra mile to help people? Why care at all? Just go to work and fulfill your hours and go home. Now this job is about a paycheck, not enjoying your chosen profession.
On a side note.. this couldnt have come at a worse time. We just had a child and are suppose to be spending this time enjoying it and getting to know her, instead we have spent this time stressed and unhappy. I mean, whats next? "Oh, sorry.. we are spending WAY too much on overtime.. so no more of that!" Then we cant pay our bills. So, i realize they say that the overtime is manditory.. but i dont believe it will stay that way for a second. It is just one more way for the company to Screw all of you... and your families too i must add. Im heartbroken and worried, as im sure so many other people are. Its just very sad. I never would have thought EA would do this to us.
I would like to add another "SCREW YOU EA" to the list.
