I'm sharing this because I remember seeing these ads in comics, back in the day. I did a little googling, and found out Dusty was Kenner's attempt to compete with Barbie in the 70's. Seems most doll collectors today don't care much of Dusty -- they think she's mannish and don't like that Dusty is a little bit taller than Barbie (just enough that she can't wear Barbie's clothes).
