I'm posting this b/c I've tried everything I can think of, and yet my laptop still is having problems.
Here's the deal:
My Sony Vaio laptop, using its wireless connection, can connect to a wireless network that I know works (its at the firm), but can't seem to get on the Internet at all. When I check the network stuff, I find that it is sending packets, but not receiving.
After looking around the Internet, I've found that Winsock is NOT corrupted, although I ran the fix anyway (to no avail), I've used some script on NETSH (again to no avail), and I've "released and renewed" a bajillion times.
The only thing I can think of is that the internal NIC (I don't know if its actually called that) is busted, and I have to buy a new one.
I'm not even sure if the above terminology is right, since I've never been too network-savvy. So any help would be appreciated, especially before I take my vaio in to get its internal NIC replaced.
