This weekend, in the words of Napoleon Dynamite, was "friggin' sweet." Though it didn't start out all that well. Looking back on it now, it's almost funny. HaHaHa... I laugh in the face of my own stupidity.

So Friday morning, Blair and I were leaving for SA-town for the weekend. Well actually, she was going on to Corpus... but we went through San Antonio to drop me off. Anywho, the morning started off fine. But then, as we're an hour into our trip, I realized something was off. Something in my pants didn't feel right. And I just realized how wrong that sounds, but now I'm laughing hysterically, so I think I'm going to leave that part as is. Woooooo.... ok anyways, back to the story. So the balance of the force (in my pants) had been tipped to the dark side. My wallet was gone. Now aside from dropping your soap in the prison showers or undergoing castration, I honestly don't think that there is anything worse that could happen to a guy than for him to lose his wallet. I mean seriously, everything I could possibly need is in that wallet. OK, maybe not everything. But most everything. So, needless to say, I was in complete and utter despair. I'm so sorry that you had to put up with that Blair.

So after frantically searching Blair's car, I realized the wallet was no where to be found. I didn't know what to do. No ATM card? No Driver's Liscense? How was I going to see Alex?!? And yes, that was the first thing on my mind. So after some of the panic subsided, I called the bank to deactivate my ATM/credit card. And my dear Blair was kind enough to take me to the DMV in Boerne to renew my license so that I could drive. Ah but sure, just my luck, the drama continued.

We got to the DMV and things were starting to look up. Blair and I had gone the bank first so that I could pull out some money (this comes into play shortly). We ended up having to wait for... well... forever because people don't move very fast in the DMV. But Blair and I made good use of the time by reading the signs on the bulletin board. Have ya'll ever read the stuff they put up? I don't think that board had been touched in years because it had flyers dating back to 2000. I especially liked the one about Texas Top 10 Most Wanted. The sheet said, "Last updated in May 2001." Are you serious? Serial killers on the loose around Texas. What a lovely thought. So after making fun of all the flyers and laughing out loud like a couple of weirdos, it was finely my turn. So I go up to the desk and the lady says,"Do you have something with your name on it?" And I'm thinking, lady, give me break... I just lost my friggin' wallet. So I'm just shaking my head no to all of the different things she's rattling off. And then she said the dreaded words... "Come back my friend when you have something with you name on it." WINFANFKJNFKJNVNLNSVBJLKNG;LAKJK;KF. That's exactly what was going on in my head. I think I was almost heart broken. So as I was walking through the door with my head hung low, it came to me. "Will a bank receipt work?" She shook her head yes!! The Man Upstairs was most certainly looking out for me... that's all I have to say. And to think, I almost didn't go to the bank. So I ran to the car, got the receipt and ran back inside. And thank goodness, she let me have my spot in line back.

To end this little shenanigan, I got my license renewed. And Blair and I took a marvelous picture outside the DMV to commemorate the event. Blair, thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you. You are such a crazy awesome amazing friend!!!

After I got home, I jumped in the car and got to Alex's as fast as I could in order to spend the evening with her, which of course, ended up to be awesome. I love Alex's parents!! They are so awesome!! They make me feel like one of the family.. which hopefully, one day I will be. :) And Saturday... wow. There is nothing better in the whole world that waking up and being at Alex's house at 9:25 in the morning and then spending the entire morning and half the afternoon just chilling with her. Wow Wow Wow.... and then we spent the evening at my house with my all my family. That was some serious crazy awesome fun... let me tell ya. We played Scattegories all night and some of the answers were friggin' hilarious!!! The highlights were mine, Alex's, and my aunt's. On one of the lists, the letter we had to use was "S." One of the questions was, "Something you are afraid of." The first thing that came to my mind was Soap-On-A-Rope. Now ya'll may not find that all the funny, but in that moment, it was hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard, or heard my family laugh that hard in a long time. And for all you Diag nerds out there, my aunts answer to the question "A Book Title," was So You Want To Collect A Blood Specimen? That made my Aunt and Alex and I die laughing. And finally, on the letter "F," for the question "Something that is black," Alex put Fat Albert. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Wow that was such a fun night and a wonderful ender for my weekend, because unfortunately, I had to be back in good 'ole College Station by noon Sunday because I'm part of the Confirmation team at St. Thomas Aquinas. It was quite fun, but I think I would have rather been in San Antonio with Alex and the family. In fact, I know I would have rather been in San Antonio. And I forgot to mention... my dad came home this weekend! I haven't seen him since Christmas, so it was really nice. We had good times. And then to top it all off, my parental units and my sister came up yesterday for a couple hours after my Confirmation meeting which was awesome as well. Good fun good fun.

And that concludes my weekend adventures, as dramatic and climactic as it was. Here are a few pictures.
