I guess it would be greatly appreciated if I updated, so here goes...
Finally got back into the swing of things after Spring Break. And, as you can see by my updating, I have gotten back the motivation to accomplish something other than schoolwork. No, I'm not normally this lazy. I just enjoyed having no specific plans whatsoever except what people asked me to do spur-of-the-moment. It's fun not really having to have somewhere to be.
Saw two great movies this week, School of Rock and Secret Window. I know I was due to watch School of Rock, but that's okay. I'm having to catch up on must-watch movies. Thought it was great, though. Secret Window is definetly a must-see. One of those psychological thrillers that make you think. Definetly worth the time to go see.
Had an interesting night last night. Went to see where Lindsay and Ryan were (this is around 10:45). I got into my car and started driving, and I called Lindsay. I noticed that there was a cop behind me, so I quickly put the phone down. For those who don't know, there is a $75 fine if you get caught driving and talking on your cell phone. His lights went on, so I'm thinking "Oh, crap". I pulled over into a well-lit (I have to stay safe) parking lot. The cop walks up and says "Good evening, driver". That was funny. I halfway expected him to say "I come from the Intergalactic Society of Highway Patrolmen, Earth Chapter. I come in peace". So I asked him what the problem was, and he said, "Well, your taglights are out and so is your drivers side headlight." The headlight I knew about and told him, but thanked him for making me aware of the taglight. He took my licence and registration and all that, and he asked me if I really lived in Greenville, with a hopeful look on his face. (No, I don't, I just have that on my licence for laughs. I really live in South Africa.) Then he started to strike up a conversation about how he lived in Greenville but worked in Roebuck (??? I used to live in Roebuck, and its almost an hour from Greenville. And there's not much of anything at all in Roebuck, much less places to work.) He asked me what I was doing down here, and I told him I was attending CSU. He asked me my major, and I told him. Apparently his wife majored in the same thing (oh, wow! did she really?) at USCS. I think his last comment to me was "Charleston is such a better place to live. I'd choose to live here instead of anywhere else, anyday." He actually said this looking off whistfully. I don't know if I'd choose to live here instead of anywhere else, but it is a very nice place to live. Then he told me "It was nice talking to you. Have a great night, and enjoy yourself!" (Okay! Definetly! You, too! Go have some fun, forget about driving safely!) Oh, well. That definetly takes the cake for my wierdest cop encounter. Normally they just tell me I have a headlight out, I need to slow down, give me a ticket, something. I've never had one give me his life story.
Found the best picture for the tattoo I want. I probably won't be able to get it anytime soon since I need the money to spend on it. But I'm on to step two - I found a decent picture of what I want
Not sure of the colors yet. Definetly some browns or dark greens... I'll work on that later. Oh, and without the little semicircle on top. If you know anything about celtic knots, that's not supposed to be there. It's a pendant, so I'm assuming that's how you put the pendant on a chain. I want the tattoo to go on the small of my back. Definetly something I hope to have within the next year or two.
On that note, I have some work to do. Happy St. Patrick's day to all. And if anyone sees me, don't forget to kiss me - I'm Irish!
Thom - finally got the new Norah Jones cd. It's awesome. I'll see you again soon!
