(no subject)
Last Thursday we had a choir engagement. We were singing on my old university campus. SO we're singing, and I'm all into it, and Lisa (our director) gives the signal for us to start the verse over. I SAW the cue, I know what the cue means, I've only seen it over a hundred times...
So WHY oh WHY did I start singing the chorus!
It was AWFUL. I just heard my loud obnoxious alto voice, singing way above everyone, and everyone's singing something else. Horrible. Wow. I haven't been that embarrassed in a very, very long time. I was just thankful that Lisa wasn't ticked...she laughed at me (which is a lot better!!).
On Friday, after choir rehearsal, I was literally on the floor, laughing at myself and my faux-pas with some of the other choir members. I'm still embarrassed, but it was pretty funny.
Today, we had another engagement. For some reason, no one in the choir was smiling or looking happy while we were singing (which is a no-no). So Lisa kept giving us the cue to smile, and doing the funniest dance while she was giving us the signal. You had to see it...HILARIOUS!! It was all I could do not to burst out laughing on the stage.
I love this choir.
