Down By The River (Master Art Post--BANDWITH WARNING)
This is my master art post for conserif's fanfiction, Down By The River (There Are Butterflies), which was written for the Kradam Big Bang challenge. (LARGE BANDWITH WARNING)
Conserif wanted drawn art for her piece, so that narrowed things down a bit, and she sent some short excerpts that she wanted to see illustrated. I definitely imagined a more grungier look with her story, and this image stuck out in my head in particular:
“Adam? What's wrong? Adam!” Kris says, his hands moving frantically over Adam's icy skin. He's as pale as death.“Oh my god.”
They sink to the ground, Kris holding Adam and still kissing him, desperate, trying to rub some warmth into his trembling limbs. Frigid water streams over Adam's white skin, drenching the both of them.
“There's something I need to t-tell you,” Adam gasps, shivering, water gushing out of his mouth and over his lips. His eyes roll up in his head, struggling, and his teeth are clenched and so are his hands, vice like on Kris's shoulder. “------------------------------------------------ .”
“W-what?” Kris says, scared, fingers clutching reflexively over Adam's face, nervous circles on his jaw. “I don't understand.”
That said, be sure to check out conserif's fic. From what I've seen, it's definitely one not to be missed. And now without further due, the artwork. :)
