*SCREAMS OF RAGE*
Okay, I'm usually the one to play 'Devil's Advocate' the one who actually defends the actions of the comic writers and editiors, who can excuse some minor gaffs for the sake of enjoying a good story.
But this? THIS....*incoherant rants and screams*!!!!
The last third of the first Titans Series was painful, Devin Grayson's Titans Run was not up to par, and some of the stuff on Nightwing has made me scratch my head along with what's up with Robin. But I still enjoy these stories for the most part. War Games started fine and went on a 'What kinda CRACK is Bats SMOKING?!' but still it was okay, it did what needed to be done...I had hopes for the sequel 'War Crimes' but .... *more sputtering* ...
They promiced to get to the bottom of the death of Stephanie 'Spoiler' Brown, and they delivered. But in the worse possible way...Wolfie if you are reading this, trust me no matter how BAD War Crimes was, this was far far worse.

Stephanie died because Dr. Leslie Thompkins WITHHELD NECCESSARY MEDICAL TREATMENT. Yes you read that right, Dr Leslie Thompkins, the one who stitched together SERIAL KILLERS in No Mans Land because she valued life that much, the one good soul in the cadre of Batman's Cast delibrately withheld medical treament from a badly injured 16 year old girl.
I don't CARE what psychobabble you try to drape on this one, I've heard everything from 'Teaching Bruce a Lesson' to 'Saving Stephanie's Soul' there are some absolutes about people that you do not screw with. THIS is one of them. Hell the whiners at Nightwing don't have much to stand on now. No matter how much they bitch about Devin...at least she can be counted on NOT to fuck up a character in ONE SINGLE ISSUE as much as Leslie was screwed up in this one! Devin at least will show you what drove a character to a certian point. This...THIS....*sputters*
