What you may not be aware of is that while Jethro was an anti-social lump he had an affair with an ant.
Every day the ant would tickle his porous hardened clay body.
She'd walk one way, and then travel back by the same route. She did this regularly, being that bricks can not move by their own volition. On one of these uneventfull occasions, when she was heavily burdoned with a forged seed, Jethro choose to stike up a conversation with the industrious little ant.
"Miss Ant," Jethro called to her.
"Yes?" she replied as she set down her burdon in mid walk.
"Why is it that you travel one way and then the other way? Always with such a heavy burdon in tow? And upon my back, no less?"
"It is all very simple you see. You sit directly in my path to my home. And this is the path that is the shortest distance to my abode. My younger sisters have chosen easier routes, and thus you do not see them. They avoid you, as you are an unpleasant obstacle. However, I have found you to be quite the opposite, you have not stirred since I began my journies. Does it bother you sir?"
"No, carry on. I look forward to your visits. I will see you tomorrow."
Now, this ant did visit him again, and again. And soon, they became fast friends - an unlikely relationship for a brick and an ant. But there it was. It blossomed. It bloomed. And then, one day, it was no more.
Jethro waited.
Jethro waited expectantly.
But, you see, it was not to be. For ants do not live so long as many bricks.
Still Jethro waited; because, you see, as a brick Jethro had much time for such activities. In fact, waiting patiently is something bricks are very good at. And Jethro is the best at waiting. You must be , when all your thoughts are for World Domination.
