Jack London.
Yeah, it refers to my friends, who decided it'd be cool to walk to the train station, take the train to Doylestown, and walk to my friends house, showing up unannounced.
The temperature: 15 degrees (Farenheit)
The wind chill: -1 degrees*
The distance: According to MapQuest, 5.2 miles.
Taking many a shortcut, they actually managed to fucking do it. I walked toward the train station for about 5 minutes, but I was already cold. And hungry. I hadn't had lunch; and it's not smart to walk 3-4 miles on an empty stomach, or so I've heard. I can stand the cold, but seriously it would've been torture, for sure.
It seems I'll probably be traveling again soon, first time since South Africa back in summer 2002. My choir is doing a spring tour with just chamber choir members + graduates, so March 27th-April 3rd I may/may not be headin' off to Phoenix and Las Vegas.
In other news, I still can't figure out how people work. And I added interests, but two of them involve me asking for pity, though really it never does anything, as people will feel obligated to listen to your bitching for a day or a two, or less, but then they immediately go back to being the same assholes they were before.
*Is it degrees in that case? Or just degree? And should I even bother using asterisks, ala my brother?
